Liftgate weatherstrip leak 1992 Honda CIVIC HATCHBACK
As the title says I have a water leak at the top of the glass in my 92 hatch. It is not pressing against the weatherstrip correctly their is a gap of around 1/16th of a inch. I have tried adjusting the glass multiple times. The weatherstrip looks like it is in great condition no tears or holes. I was going to go buy another weatherstrip but the cheapest i can find is around 80 bucks. Any idea as to what the problem could be I have solved every leak except for this one and it is getting quite irritating. My friend suggests maybe bend the hinges or put a shim so the glass will press closer to the seal?

Not the foam ones, I'm not sure how they hold up when it really pours. They have those rubber ones at depot. Find them
Just get the right part man.... $77 isn't a lot to properly protect your interior and trunk from water damage that could cost hundreds to fix.
