Someone with Spoon EK cluster...can u take nice close up pics?? Need them for a project(details ins
I am attempting to make a replica spoon gauge cluster, and I need pics of the gauges, so i can have them printed on heavy gauge plastic/vinyl.
pics without the clear plastic coating would be nice!
thanks,
mike

I wouldn't expect owners of Spoon cluster to want to help you make generic copies.
why do you want a copy???
are you going to change the tach so it matches with the fake spoon gauge?
im not mass producing these things, i am just changing MY overlays...
im not dumb enough to ask spoon for help
geez u guys are a rough crowd..always assuming the worst

P.S. I just like the way they look, but I don't wanna spend $100,000 dollars for one

believe me, i realize all of this
im gunna measure the RPM marks from the stock cluster, and just replace them with the "spoon look" so my tach will only goto 8400/8500k, and my speedo will be in MPH (but spoon style
)
but thanks for the headsup bro! seriously...

BTW: i never caught it in the pic before but now i see the nice "one fingered salute"

wow, i never thought i'd have to say "fake spoon gauge".
You know if you start selling the overlays you will make a nice amount of money. My friend had a spoon cluster in his car and it looked really nice. I still would not buy one unless I was going to rev up to 10,000 RPM or more.

An easy way to make money is to sell cheap parts that resemble expensive JDM parts. People want to be JDM but can't afford the real deal parts or can't justify spending the money when they can get something that "looks the same" for much less.
i can't tell which people really are trying to help, and which are making fun of me
sorry if someone thinks this is "the R word" but no-one bitches when someone buys a replica spoon CF lip
if there was a replica already, i would have bought it...i just like the looks so Im tryin' to make my own

I think it's a great idea. Parts are parts - it doesn't matter what name is on them. If they are constructed well and serve a purpose (be it cosmetic, performance oriented, or otherwise), then that's all I care about. Saying that a name matters is like saying the Kraft Mac and Cheese is better than the store brand - not always true.
And, i'd rather have a gauge cluster that will work well in the US (ie. not in kilometers) that looks good. I currently have an SI cluster, but would seriously consider buying a Spoon replica cluster (or whatever you decide to call it). F*ck the nay-sayers.
