Default What is the usual RPM idle in park

UP UP, my car sometimes is at like 1,400 then sometimes below 1,000 if it goes below 1,000 the car shakes like crazy, not sure whatsup? when it goes below 1,000 it feels like the A/C comes on.

So what could be causing my problem then? with the shaking and all?

i think the shaking is just the nature of a large bore 4 banger at low rpm's. mine did it my uncle's did it. then i adjusted the idle up to 900 and smoothed it all out. don't think it's a bad motor mount. and as far as i know all accords idle high when they're cold. as it warms the idle drops to a normal range

start by replacing spark plugs, wires, and your air filter.
then u probably need to have the timing redone.

check your timing, and then if it is not that check to make sure that all you vacume hoses are connected. I had that problem, and it was the vacume hoses.

Actually, our cars have a small bore, large stroke configuration.

my stupid idle sensor is messed up so it has its ranges from 800-2200 until it gets warm it goes down to 800 and tries to stay there

i actually set my timing a few days ago, put in new plugs, cap , rotor , wires; car is misfiring . gaps are all right and the same plugs are hoocked up correctly. ? i'm thinking coil or ignitor . I have a " little " leak with either valve seals or piston rings but, never har misfires.....

sorry, meant to say large displacement. i knew that (long stroke small bore just like a diesel), that's part of the reason we have such a nice torque curve with these f-blocks.
