Default Paint impact on car's price

I'm getting ready to sell my car and trying to figure out what I want to list it for.

It's a 2006 Civic LX Coupe with 95k miles. BB in good condition is 6,700 but I'm curious how you would price some additional factors.

-The engine has 20k miles on it (Swapped out under warranty)
-The paint is fucked it looks like this http://m.carcomplaints.com/media/com...82b41c61dr.jpg

I'm thinking 6k might be a fair price to make up for the paint?

Is that the only place it is messed up?

Get it reshot for ~500 and ask 6500. It will move more and you won't be lowballed.

If you drop the price for a Civic, you're still going to get hammered down no matter what.

my car is 19 years old and looks nothing like that. Did this happen during your ownership?

Got a quote to get it painted and they said to do it decently would be 1,500+ so I don't know if that's a good option.

It's a common problem with 06-07 civics. They used **** paint and it looks like it.

OP start the sanding process yourself to reduce labor cost, and do as suggested in the quote.

Ask $6,500 without fixing the paint, let them counteroffer at $6,000. Both parties are happy.
