Default 96 accord ex h22 swap questions

OK so I posted a thread asking some questions about boosting my f22b1. After some talking I have decided to to do the h22 swap. I have been doing some research on the subject and still have some questions.

I have a 96 accord ex coupe with f22b1 v tech obd2. I will be doing the swap next month. I am fine with all of the mechanical part of it, but what is making me nervous is the electrical part. I was thinking about downgrading to obd1 because of the immobilizer problem with 97+ h22s. And not having to look for such a specific year h22. Plus what I've read obd1 is better for tuning.

Now I believe I found an obd1 to obd2 harness. And I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them and what else I would need to do in addition.

Also if a stayed with obd2, what options do I have about the whole immobilizer thing.

Also when I look for engines online most say 92-96 h22. I thought that only engine 96 and after were obd2. How could they sell it like that.

Any other info on The subject would also help. I am new to Hondas, and this would be my first swap.

If you got the fairly rare 96 p13-A12 obd2 ecu and added knock sensor and iab wiring with a td60u distributor you would be good to go staying obd2

What about something like this for obd1 h22?

https://boomslang.us/obd2-to-obd1.php
Would that work? What else would need to be done with that?

Just in case the p13-a 12 is to hard to find.

It depends on if your state has strict emissions testing.

I forgot you would need a 96 si vtec oil pump as well as the crank timing and front balance shaft pulley too.

So what I am trying to figure out is. If I get this motor and tranny with the added ecu and wiring harness.

http://www.jdmtigerjapanese.com/h22a-obd-1-dohc-vtec-engine-manual-5-speed-transmission-92-95.html

And the obd 2 to obd1 harness adapter here.

What else would I need to get for this swap and what do I need to do. With that harness would it be plug an play?

Just go through rywire. Call them up and tell them you need an obd2a to obd1 conversion harness and a distributor conversion harness to move the crank sensor to the distributor as on an obd1 car. You will need a td60u distributor and a p72 chipped obd1 ecu. Then you will need to set the timing like on a obd1 car. Then get the ecu tuned.

Would it be easier to get an obd2 h22 with obd1 ecu and conversion harness?

Even if there was a such thing as an obd2 h22 it wouldnt be any easier to convert to obd1 with it.
