Just got back into the Type R game, do people still meet up?

 

The Loi-spec/Raceline guys go to Buttonwillow a lot I believe. They also go to some of the meets in the area.

 

In for meats.

 

weekends are no es bueno for me usually but can usually meet up in the evenings on weeknights

I'll be going to Diamond Plaza in Rowland Heights / City of Industry this Thursday at 10PM with a few of my NSX friends. I hear there's also a Honda meet there. You guys are welcome to come!

 

There was an ITR meet a few months ago at Buttonwillow but I only saw maybe 3 or 4 ITRs.

 

Rowland Heights is close to me. May have to cruise out to that one. ITR almost done, but will bring out one of the other cars in the meantime.

 

I know of a few meets at Aliso Beach in the past.

 

Aliso Beach used to have the ULTIMATE ITR meets, years ago.

Also, we're meeting in the underground parking structure.

I was on the east coast but I would be down for another Buttonwillow event. I want to drive on their new pavement.

 

I'd be willing to go to an AM meet.

Let's have it at diamond jamboree in irvine so we can get some 85 degree breads for breakfast haha

 

I've been to one of those meets , it's a an on and off thing. Meaning whoever throws that meet usually throws it the week of (Usually through IG and FB ). However I don't recommend going to those , it tends to attract the wrong crowd. ( wrong fitment hella stance bs + rev happy hard parkers ). There has been instances of cops closing down the main entrance and giving tickets to everyone on the way out.

That's why it's on and off, I don't mind meeting around that area just not that specific day. It also can get pretty stuffy and annoying with all the exhaust fumes down there. There use to be a really chill T-I meet down Colima at the in-n-out 10 years ago that I use to attend, that spot was more than adequate. Good times.

 

Nobody showed up but my NSX friends and some cops, although not for the reason you're stating.

^ Nice. Well there's going to be a huge last "626 meet" on August 22nd. Generally all cars are there from track prepped to slizzamed hard parkers. Should be a good one though since it's going to be the last one ever at the huge lot that hosts it weekly. It's in Alhambra in a very very ghostly vacant lot.

Some Nsx guys usually go there also on thursdays I believe, the day before this weekly Fri meet happens. So maybe you know of the spot i'm talking about? Come on by if you've got nothing to do Friday August 22nd .

 

Theres going to be end of summer meet in ontario,ca @ Bismoto Free Food and drinks, im thinking about attending hopefully to see some ITR's present @ this event.

The smaller the better for me. Went to an NWP get together that VtecVooDoo set up about a year ago with a few ITRs and a few other cars and that was perfect.

 

We need to put together a meet sometime soon. Finally finished the thomas tribute R. Its time to start driving her.

 

I am down to meet up. I have a GSR but has been retrofitted with quite a few Type R pieces. Would enjoy meeting more enthusiasts around the area.

 

There's Speedventures at California Speedway this weekend.
