Default car randomly dies

Car is 2000 civic si

turbo b18c hondata s300 with hondata coil on plug.

problem: car randomly dies while driving. takes a couple mins then will start back up.

iv tried 3 ecus. Had injectors cleaned. Watched fuel pressure which stays the same. tried 2 dizzys, replaced main relay and just replaced the ignition switch which when i started it would idle for a couple seconds then die, tired to drive it down the road and died on me.

im out of ideas

well have you checked for spark, fuel pressure and fuel injector pulse when the car doesn't want to start??? if so you forgot to mention that info and makes me wonder what other info might have gotten left out

When the car doesn't want to "start" it'll start then immediately die. Won't stay running until i wait a 5 mins maybe then will start right up and run like a champ.

what color is spark? what fuel pressure do you have when it "starts" and dies..... sounds like fuel pump overheating.... not enough info..........

Your car is too heavily modified. You'll be lucky if anyone figures this out.
Are you using OEM distributors? Spark plugs with the correct heat range? Gapped properly for your application? (Nevermind. COP=no plugs/no plug gapping) And I don't mean to factory specs. And I thought COP eliminated the need for distributors and made the ignition system even more bulletproof?

Maybe start checking the actual ignition switch?

Hondata still requires the dizzy to be in place to utilize the cam sensor pick up. Spark plugs are bkr7e-ix gapped .028 i just replaced the ignition switch and harness it comes with.

Fuel pump is a walbro 416, injectors ID2000. Another symptom is it randomly goes lean in my tune. IE same spot in map when its running right will be 14.7 but randomly same spot will decide to be 17-18s and die also sometimes it will not die but stay lean.

AN UPDATE, i added a bigger ground 4 gauge and it seemed to have stopped the random lean problem. I also notice that my key was really hard to turn and crunchy going onto the key hole. So i started using my valet key. Ran great and didnt die for about a week. The other day it died. Any suggestion? i put it in the garage and tried to forget about it.

If you changed your ignition switch but didnt change the harness then it might be that your ignition switch harness is going out(the white round piece that bolts into your ignition) mines was starting to fail but with a little wiggle as I turned the key in the ignition it worked, when I didn't wiggle the key it turned on but then shut off or stayed on until I hit a hard bump which caused the ignition to shut off. I Switched the ignition harness and problem went away. Good luck and keep us posted.

great news! i have fixed the problem, since trying everything i was data logging in my garage as the car died. When the car died i noticed the map sensor was reading -22 with the car not running. That doesnt seem right should be 0. Threw in a new omni 4 bar and runs fine. Hondata 4 bar went bad causing my car to have this problem.
