I originaly had a problem with my gauses, windows, wipers not working and it wouldnt go into gear.... i found in previous threads to check the back up light fuse under the dash and it was blown as soon as i replaced it the fuse blew again...I tried using a higher amp fuse and something under the hood startes smoking...What could keep blowing the fuse?

 

One of the backup switch wires could be broken off and touching ground(transmission/block)
