Those numbers are attainable if you a driving god. Otherwise get settled with 14.0 flat. From a roll the car is much easier to drive in a straight line, but the forte of the car is turns not drag racing.

Do a search, this topic has been beat to death in the past. In fact, a new thread on the subject starts every two weeks. if you scroll down the page 22 entries you'll find the last one complete with 124 replies.

11-12lb/hp will get you below 14 in most cars. the trick with the s2k is keeping it in the powerband.

Generally, you'll see S2000s in the low to mid 14 second range. Great drivers can pull off high 13's. I believe the best time (stock) for an S2000 is 13.7 sec, although somebody ran a 13.6 on a G-Tech. The S2000 doesn't really "feel" fast, compared to cars with more torque.

i ran two 13.9XX with mine at Maple Grove. All stock at the time with the spare out and jack & tools out. Tire pressure was about 26psi and it was 75F out.

I launched at 6500-6800rpm after doing a burnout each run.....some abuse needs to be done to get the car off quickly. If you launch at 2000rpm, it probably runs about a 15.0.

excellent driving - high 13s
mediocre driving - low 14s
bad driving - high 14s, 15s

What about the fastest time you ever heard (by a modified s2k)?
I was searching on the net but i still haven't found anything about the fastest (1/4 mile time by a) s2k!

I should also add that a 13 second pass would require quite a bit of clutch abuse. So it's not just your driving skill, but how much you want to abuse your S2k.

13.6 stock? Hahahaha ... never. Mine (well my wifes now) sure feels like a mid 14 second car. A drag car / fast car it is not -- but the roof folds down.
I'm not sure if 13.6 stock has been done, but somebody reported 13.66 stock on a G-Tech. Others have reported 13.7, 13.8, etc. You should know this by now - I'm sure you frequent S2Ki quite often. I agree, it's not made for drag racing. It's not fast? Fast a relative term. Fast compared to what?

it's fast enough to beat E36 Ms and Mustang GTs bone stock. I'd say that's not too shabby.

This was done on BALD S-03s at 22psi. A hair over 1/2 tank of fuel and no spare.

60' - 2.203
1/8 - 9.198
mph - 79.03
1/4 - 14.185
mph - 97.94

I dont think it has much to do with driving as pulling a good 60 ft. time.
I would hit 13s if I had traction and pulled a sub 2.0 . The S2k is a high 13 sec. car but it was not designed for the purpose of drag racing.

High RPM torque and low RPM torque are a totally different experience, you cant judge a cars quickness on seat of the pants. Just do the math, its all horsepower to weight ratio! Size of the motor is meaningless.

Yeah, the s2k is one incredible car, but it lacks the low end torque, as do all hondas, to make a decent launch.
