Annoying Rattle!!!!
I know this topic has been brought up several times, and I even did a search, but this is bugging me. When I did the search is said that the infamous 3500 RPM rattle is from the stock manifold. I've got and aftermarket header, test pipe, and cat-back, and I've still got that annoying rattle/buzzing at 3500 RPM. Sometimes there's even a fluid-like noise. It's hard to explain, it's kinda like a "swishing" sound. Sorry for the dumb questions, but this is really bugging me. Thanks.
rip off the heat shields under the shifter unit and if that doesn't work go to town on the rest of em. They really don't do much and won't cause your car to catch on fire and if they're bent slightly they will touch either the shifting mechanism or muffler/cat tubing.
I had a shop put on my exhaust cause there was some welding . . . I've had buzzing/rattling problems
the guy refused to take of the rear heat shields cause he said they are under/near the gas tank. says it's dangerous.
i think i'll just pull them off myself, although they only vibrate every once in a while . . . sometimes on downshifts when the needle drops by 4000 rpm.

If you have an aftermarket intake, check to make sure its tight and tied down. My Dc sports intake got loose and started to rattle at ~3300 rpm. I just tightened it up and it went away!
