93 integra brake/suspenion converion on 89 civic si hatchback
So ive read a few threads on doing a break upgrade from the 89 si civic disc front with drum back to the full disk from a 93 integra.
So a bit of info on the car first. It a 89 civic hatchback si, i have a 92 integra as a back up car, and a 93 integra i bought 7 years ago which is now my full donor car. The civic recieved the motor/tranny/shift linkage/axles/radiator/ecu and a few other misc pieces. The runs great so far but the brakes just arent the same as driving a DA integra for 7 years after owning an EF sedan lol.
So from what ive read is mostly about the rear brakes, and they are just unbolt/bolt on for the most part with no fabrication at all it seems. My question now is should i go ahead and do the fronts aswell or is it not really worth the work since it has disc already? Or should i since it was be nice to have the same setup from front to rear, since the integra brake system requires a min 14" tire (a 13" wont clear it) and the 89 si hatch min needs a 13"?
I would ask on the big thread i read but it was hijacked by so many people and seems half didnt really know what they were talking about (half said 1 thing half argued) so im starting my own to see what info i get.
Thanks

The front civic is 9.5" disk, teg is 10.3. It's a very popular upgrade. If you really want to step up the front brakes, you can get ITR calipers and 11.1" mini cooper rotors (which is what I am doing!)
Also, I personally think the rear disks do not add much braking performance. There is so little weight in the rear, the drums can easily hold their own.

hmm if thats the case then no point changing i dont think the lil extra in the front would be much better but i could be wrong. you dont think the disc in the rear would do much?
But if i was going to goahead with doing the conversion to full DA brakes it looks farily simple and bolts up.

what about the suspension the front could use a lil stiffer with the b18 in it and the rear arent in best condition and since i have the donor why not lol
Just a question, do you need the ITR caliper and mini rotor or the entire ITR knuckle? I'm on DA (10.3" rotor) knuckles at the moment. It's definitely a different feel than the stock (whatever standard hatch) brakes.

hmm i would go that route but with a donor DA sitting with fairly new rotors/pads just cant pass it up lollemme how it turns out Freemananana
