no power to fuel pump
I have a 96 Honda Accord that's not getting power to the fuel pump I've changed the fuel pump the relay the fuzes and ignition switch and still no power. It some times starts if I turn the key on and off for about 10 minutes but now it's not coming on at all. Does anyone have a idea of what could cause this to happen
Do you own or have access to a multimeter? if you do then you can track the voltage from the ignition to the main relay and onto the fuel pump. When you come to the component that doesn't allow the voltage to flow... that would be your starting point for further testing/replacement.
Hi, I'm about to post when i saw you question.
I have had the same problem intermittent power to the pump. I have replaced the main relay then the pump and filter, Ignition Switch checks out ok. We managed to trace the fault to the Park and Neutral switch. It seems to start in the neutral position. Might be worth a try. Good Luck.
