I have a 93 prelude si JDM. It's a beautiful car it only has a 180xxx miles on it I drive 20 miles a day on it. But now when I cut it on it use to over heat I changed out ththermostat and forgot to put the ground wire on it not only that I put some new oil in it (oil change) but for got to put the oil cap back on. I drove it admit 10 miles to my girls friends house. Now when I cut the car on. It has a loud knock and it gets even louder as my rpms go up. Please help me I cant figure it out. I have a video of thet noise too. Could it be the timing belt tensioner and pully slapping something ? Or my cams? Or would it be like a piston rod??

 

Wheres the video? A knock could be a few things, most commonly the rod bearing, or piston wrist pin.

Im not sure what "cutting or to cut" a car is?
