Default Hello All

Hello Honda Tech!

I have just acquired a 94 civic hb si with a 95 gsr swap. The list of mods jut keeps going but the ones i can list off the top of my head are - titanium valves and springs, new pistons, balanced bottom end, port and polished head, new coilovers, fuel rail and air intake, tuned p28 ecu and the list continues haha. Ive wanted to get into the honda scene for several years and im way excited that i finally managed to. Growing up i was never around cars or involved in anything mechanical (yet somehow i ended up being a machinist 0.o) so my knowledge is limited and that is why im here. I want to learn everything there is to learn about hondas and proper tuning/suspension/engine building/you name it. I have plans to build a turbo kit for this car as well as carbon fiber and leather stitch the interior and give it a new coat of paint. Before i get into all of that i want to make sure the engine, transmission, and suspension are all perfect. For a swap i believe its running pretty damn well, idle likes to stay at 1.5k sometimes but other than that the engine seems solid. The transmission makes a small grind noise when i shift hard into 3rd sometimes but i think thats more user error than worn synchros (hopefully lol; im gonna replace the trans oil and see if that helps).

SO i guess long story short is i want to make sure this lovely little civic gets the tlc it needs but i really dont know where to start or what all i should check (it runs fine but i want to know the car inside and out before i do any mods myself to it) Where would you guys start with something like this?

And of course some pictures

the fox hat keeps the shifter from burning my hand xD good old arizona heat, and the hood is spaced up on the hinges for better airflow, i might drop it back down cause the gap bugs me lol
