Default rev limiter always hits lean cut. innovative wideband datalogs stoo fast

turbo engine. have one lean protection set up at about 12. afr @ 250 ms. always seems to kick in at the track and ruin runs. how do you guys prevent this? I don't want to set the trigger time tooo long your the protection would be useless lol. it only kicks in because while hitting limiter (fuel cut) makes it read lean while its not.

also on my other car I have a innovative wideband. just the base $180 one.
on the guage I have steady 12.5 on the pc the voltage and afr bounce sooooo bad. wideband ground and power at ecu. using d14. wtf?

Exactly. You need to either change your rev limit to an ignition cut, or increase the trigger time on the lean protection. What happens when you shift during this time?

For maximum protection you want to do both fuel cut and ignition cut...

I would always use a Ignition Cut first not fuel. So for instance if your rev limit was 9000 RPM.

9000 RPM - Ignition Cut
9200 RPM - Fuel Cut(This can depend on how well or tight the ECU can control your ignition cut)

The innovate gauge has a hysteresis built into the display so it may react a little slower and not show what the voltage output is actually seeing.

but wont the ecu still be seeing boost...rev limiter still going to be cutting ignition and fuel so its still going to read lean in boost?

If you are cutting Ignition and it never reaches the fuel cut it shouldn't read lean.

Not true. Anytime you reach ignition cut the WB will report a lean condition. Just like misfire would...

Whoops you are right head wasn't in the right place yesterday. When a cut is done the engine is basically acting as a pump so oxygen will get pump through the exhaust and show a lean condition. Not sure what I was thinking the other day. Sorry.

Looking over the S300 software again I couldn't find anything to help with your problem. However I would try to contact Hondata to see if they have any solutions or if they can add it in a newer release.

1. Use ELD input d10 instead.
2. Cut/remove the teal colored resistors on r136 & r138
3. Make sure your wideband voltage offset is properly set in the Smanager.
4. Set your lean cut 1 point leaner then your target air fuel ratio at wot (12.5:1) etc.
5. Set your trigger time higher (500 ms)
6. Set your lean cut to only trigger at over 7 psi
