I just picked up some del sol seats for the civic. While the seat is more supportive than the stock seats, it sits a little too low for my tastes. Any way to raise the seat about an inch? I wanted the seats because of the lower center of gravity, but the driving position has pretty much changed. Maybe I will get used to it before the next event?!? Thanks

Don't know of another safe way to raise the seat unless you get back extentions or grow the next couple of years

 

I put them in my car and thought they would be too low.

after a day of driving I cant go back , you WILL like them ALOT.

 

I guess it takes getting used to, I'll see how I do at the next autox with these things. I probably won't care once I get going. Are there any other brackets that could fit from any tuners?

 

This is the first time I've ever heard anyone complain about a low seat. My guess is you'll learn to like them. If not, sell them to me...

I have the del sol seats in a ek civic. Same problem sitting too low..
Any luck finding a way to raise the bottom seat part an inch?

I'm using the stock civic seat bottom with the del sol back on the driver's side. looks like ***, but works for now.

Are u that short that u cant look over the dashboard?
I think its just a matter of getting used to. It only took me a few days before i was able to adjust my driving/shifting for the lower stance. I can never return to the stock seats and would even prefer not to drive one even if i was given an offer from someone.

 

Does the lower height of the del sol seats come from lower rails, or from less seat material?
Lower seat height could definantly be a plus for me (6'2" + helmet + sunroof).
Are there any saftey drawbacks?

 

delly seats are soo nice. OEM comfort, durability and looks with outstanding support. they are lower because of the seat shape itself.

there are no safety concerns as the seat re-uses your OEM civic brackets/sliders.... it's all OEM.

the best bang for the buck seats hands down!

 

you use the civic rails when you install del sol seats.. the base of the seat is thinner than a civic's, allowing you to sit lower.. man, after having a set in my hatch i can't believe how people can drive with the stock civic seats! they REALLy feel like **** after you've ridden in a del sol seat.. gsr and itr seats have the same 4x4 feel to them as well.. bleagh..

 

Why would anyone EVER want a higher seat?
