00 Honda CRV engine sensors
Greetings..I have recently noticed an oil leak under my CRV. Valve cover gasket replaced not to long ago. Put up on the lift, and am looking at a couple of sensors by the oil filter. It appears that the one to the left is the single wire oil pressure switch, which apparently is a common leake area. However, there is also a two wire, offset blade switch that is above the oil filter. I cannot figure out what this sensor does, or if it would leak oil. I am debating replacing both of these sensors if need be. Any help on what the sensor/switch above the oil filter would be? 2.0 motor. Thanks..Also plan on replacing the oil pan gasket.
I am going to go out on a limb and assume you do not live in the USA. The blocks on US spec CRVs only came with the Oil Pressure Switch (idiot light) and in later models a Knock Sensor. The knock sensor does come in single and two wire setups. A picture of the suspected problem sensor would be of great help in this situation.

Thanks for all your help. You guys were spot on. It is the knock sensor. Although the electrical connector has two slots, the actual sensor only has one blade connector. I should have looked into it deeper before I posted. Thanks again.
