99 ex auto tranny goes into neutral sfter 1st shift
99 ex coupe 190k miles.
Yesterday I was leaving a restaurant when the tranny just went into neutral mode. Dash still sayd its in gear but it doesnt move forward just stays in neutral
I turn it off, and it goes into gear again, then when it shifts it goes into neutral again...
did my tranny take a dump on me?
If so what should I expect to pay for a rebuild???

Sure sounds like it. I think you can scan the car to tell you if there's a transmission problem. It doesn't necessarily turn the check engine light on, since its the trans not the engine.
expect to probably pay as much as the car is worth lol

my car is an EX, does the tranny have to be from an EX also???
anyone in houston know a cheap mechanic that can do the swap

Why would he need to scan the car when he can scan for codes on the ecu itself using the obd scan port? Yes you can get a cel light for trans codes.

Sounds like its more shot out than my accord.
yes you need an EX d16y8 transmission.
no, I'm not from Texas.
I have explained this more times than I can count, just chill bro. I am unaware of sensors that can be replaced, try looking into that it really helped my accord.
do a 3qt drain and fill with either Honda auto fluid or a high quality kind. it might breath life back into the trans.
