Default Help identifying oem DC2 ITR Recaro rails

Hi guys,

I posted in the WTB section as well

I have a 98 JDM ITR, that I purchased a couple months ago. It came with a few parts missing.

The car is rare to South African shores. Consequently, find replacement parts locally has proven near impossible.

Thankfully they were primarily cosmetic bits & a few trim pieces. The worst amongst them being the Recaros, 16"wheels, trunk brace & lower brace.

I also have a damaged left oem black housing HID headlight that needs replacing.

I've found a set of DC5 Recaro's. But because my car had the DC2 Recaro's replaced with side mount Integra SIR seats, I have no rails.

I've located a set, pictured below, but I'm not sure if they're complete, seatbelt stalks aside.

I need to know:
- are they complete, as in, no brackets, sliders, etc missing, so that I bolt directly to the seats and into the car?
- can I use the seatbelt stalks off my sir seats? They should technically match, with the occupancy sensor on the right seat. Correct?

The rails are complete. Seat is mounted to rail using six bolts per side which also appear included from looking at the picture.

As for the seat belts, I believe the SIR seats are identical to USDM seats. So yes, the SIR seat belts latches will work. I'm using a USDM seat belt latch on my DC2 Recaro left side seat in order to keep the seat belt light on my cluster off.

The real trick is telling the difference between DC2 Recaro rails and EK9 Recaro rails. EK9 will not fit an Integra.

When I bought a set of used OEM Recaro off someone here on the forum. I was given a set of rails that was supposedly for DC2. This was until I tried to install them and find that only 1 hole fits perfectly, 2 you have to muscle to get it to remotely fit, and the last hole completely doesn't fit.

Some people will tell you the EK9 rail fits because they can "modify it so it attaches at 3 points". It is still unsafe no matter how you look at it.

The inner rail is the key to telling them apart, as the distance between the front/rear holes are completely different.

Since you have a JDM car, just make sure the buckles are from a JDM car so the seatbelt harness is on the correct side. All integras use the same buckles, so your SiR should work just fine.

That's great news, but see below, lol.

Yes. I'm aware that the EK9 has 3 points that will fit, but not the third inner rear bolt. I have no idea how to tell the difference in a pic.

I'm far too pedantic about perfect fit & finishes. As rare as they are locally, I did have the possibility of getting an EK9 set recently. I didn't pursue it, because I know the fit isn't perfect & not safe either.

How about this set? Im actually going to be taking this one. Apart from looking completely intact, it also has the plastic trim, if I'm seeing correct?

I urgently need to know if this last set pictured is an oem set of bottom mount JDM DC2 ITR Recaro rails, that will allow me to bolt my DC5 Recaro's into my 98 JDM ITR, please.

Last rails pictured are not OEM DC2 Recaro rails. Plastic trim piece on each rail never came on factory DC2 Recaro rails.

That's what's worrying me.
I didn't see any trim in any
other pic.

Any idea what these rails are,
and if they'll work?

Apparently, they were used in
an eg to fit a set of DC5 Recaro's,
which sat a bit high though.

They look modified.

If they fit an EG they will fit a DC. The problem lies in weather or not they are safe. I would definitely pass.

I see what you're saying. If you look at the ends of the inner rails (with the stalks), they seem to
be hacked, and the flat bracket tacked into place.

Also an additional hole drilled.

Can anybody identify these last set of rails, as in, what car they came off?
Perhaps based on the plastic trim?

The seller assures me that his DC5 Recaro's were fitted on these rails when he
bought them, & these rails had been fitted with the purchased Recaro's in an EG.

In turn, he contacted the EG owner who said he bought them off a guy who
pulled them out of an ITR. The EG owner also said they sat high in his car.

Seller gives me further assurance that apart from the additional holes drilled, there
are no other mods on these rails. But there is no occupancy sensor on the seatbelt
stalks.

My dilemma is that I have paid for these already, but I'm very undecided about
taking a chance on them. Shipping alone is $170, outside of the purchase price.
But they have not been shipped yet.

The seller is a good guy & very accommodating.
I need someone to please identify these rails, & some help to make a final decision.
