Clutch alignment tool???
my question is, can i use http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1871175949 <--This and install any clutch? Most likely i will be getting a cm dual friction. can i use this to install it?
I've done 7-10 clutches on the last 5 years.......the best alignment tool has always been my finger.....cheap and easy!
red_si, you do know they sell these things at an autoparts, store right? and when you order a clutch they usually come with the alignment tool?
well i'm ordering a centerforce dual friction clutch and it only comes with the clutch and pressure disk. I'm paying for the TOB separete and no i didn't know they sell the alignment tool at auto stores. Do they sell the alignment tool seperate from the whole clutch kit? is it still like 3$??

Just an fyi..... when i did my swap i bought one of those cheapie clutch alignment tools. The one they sell for the honda civic/crx is not the right size. I ended up using one for a pinto as that was the only one that fit. I took my clutch to the store.
They actually took apart one of the crx clutch kits and the tool in the kit would not fit their clutch in the kit, or my new one, or my stocker.......

That's wierd. I bought a universal alignment tool from the local parts store, ($20) it worked perfectly for my clutch. It also worked on my brothers DSM!
My universal wasn't a perfect fit but it did the job, I have either a 20 or 21 Spline laying on my garage floor if anyone needs it. Didn't fit mine.
My 10mm deep well Craftsman socket fits perfect.
