need an answer to this please

looking into buying a welder from the states it runs on 120/240 volts but were i live we run 220volts can this welder work on 220?or can i use my 110volt transformer

you can use transformer yes but it cost a lot. just save your money and get one working to 220/240v.

220/240v as long as both are single phase it will work just fine
