I have a 91 Civic HB,lately when car is ideling if I touch gas pedal a bit high idle comes on.
If I give it a quick snap on pedal it comes off,but Everytime I accelerate the high idle comes on and burns more gas. Makes it hard to sit at a red light, it wants to take off if I let off brake.
What can I do to fix this.

 

Try cleaning the throttle body

 

Everything has been cleaned,still does it.
Almost like choke comes on.

 

Come on guys, someone must have and idea on what this is, it's burning gas like hell. When I first start it idle is normal,after I drive it a bit,Everytime my foot just touches gas pedal the idle goes up. If I give it a quick snap of gas pedal idle goes down, but as soon as I accelerate idles up again, almost like a sticking choke. What and where can I check.

 

Check your IACV if you have already cleaned the throttle body. You could also lubricate the pedal assembly also. You could have some mechanical sticking on the pedal.
