97 Accord LX clean EGR problem
I plan to clean my 97 accord LX EGR. The first step is to remove the tube as showed red arrow in the picture. It is very hard to remove the tube. I probably need to cut the tube so I want a spare tube before I started.
Any trick to remove this tube?
Where can I get this tube? Is it possible from honda dealer?
What is the size of the tube if available from hardware store?
What is the name of this tube?
What is the name of the device of the green arrow?
Thanks!

Is it the vacuum line to the EGR valve, then all you need to do is use a pair of pliers to rotate it to break it free, then pull it off. No need to cut.
Green arrow IS the EGR valve.
Green arrow IS the EGR valve.
If that vacuum hose really is in such bad shape that it's that hard to get off it might be wise to get some bulk vacuum hose and redo all your vacuum hoses. Odds are that vacuum hose is going to crack when you try to take it off due to age.

Mike,
Your magic works. I just tested it.
Thanks!
holmesnmanny,
Thanks a lot for the info. I will consider buy them. Only has one car, I need to prepare the worse scenario for every job.
