All P28s are OBD1. Maybe you should state/ask why he says it's not?

i told him to google it, gave him photo's links to show but nope he knows his job

Unless it was different overseas P28s are OBD1.
I really hope you put any and all identification numbers from that ECU into the auction details.

Then have him explain how it is NOT an OBD1 ECU.

But re-reading your post...1998 was OBD2a. Explain.

I do believe there were some OBD2 P28 ECUs.

^^Did not know this. My new thing for the day.
Then there would be the issue. It is a P28 but not OBD1 like the seller needed.

Edit - OBD2 p28 for the 96-97 (USDM) Del Sol's only according to Wikipedia so maybe all Del Sols of that model (incl. '98) everywhere else?

There was a company that converted a p28 to obd2 ecu plugs but other than that OP needs to provide those pics for us to verify the ecu.

OP can confirm it himself.

'96 - '97 Del Sol Si's used an OBD2A P28, they're basically just a P2P with a different sticker.
