Car won't start
I bought a First Gen Crx. I pulled the engine to do a bunch of preventative maintenance. After I installed everything and hooked it all back up I went to start the car. It turned over and acted like it wanted to start but nothing. I have fuel all the way down the rail, and I have spark. I have tried setting the timing but I don't have an up arrow on the cam pulley. All I have is the two horizontal dashes. I have tried setting TDC in both directions and still nothing. I replaced the plugs, wires, cap and rotor button as well. I am at a loss. Someone told me there was a sensor inside the distributor that controlled when the injectors squirted. Could this have been ruined if gotten wet while out of the engine compartment?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What year? All stock?
When you set the mechanical timing to your marks, have you checked whether cyl 1 is at TDC?
Are the plug wires installed in the correct firing order on the cap?
Is spark bright white at all 4 plugs?
Will the engine start with starting fluid?

1987 CRX Si. All stock. Spark is not bright white. Will not start with starter fluid. Firing order is set by the chiltons manual.
Found out today that my injectors are not firing off. Used a simple tester to test both sides of the injector. Ordered a new distributor today. Hopefully this will fix it.
