Hi! Im new as of today-have an 89 CRX HF that Ive owned and driven for almost 20 years!! I could use a little technical help today-if anyone might be able to provide it??? My car wont start-no clicking or noise from starter, all dash lights and sounds working, will push start but wont jump?? Replaced starter but still wont turn over-any suggestions?? Thanks much?

 

some thoughts:
tried a different battery?
electrical leads/grounds in ignition
ignition problem? maybe ignition cylinder?
did you check that the new(er) starter was good?
everything hooked up properly to the starter?
checked fuses in relation to the ignition system/starter?

when you say will push start but not jump, you mean you can push start the car to turning over and running? but jumping the car via battery jump does not start the car nor does it turn over? just want to be clear with your wording

 

Yes it will push start, but not battery jump.

 

Hi! Thanks for your help!! Still havent figured it out yet! The battery and fuses appear to be good, but still wont crank? Not a noise at all from the new starter-HELP!!!
