Short Shifter. ek sedan. d series but maybe b series later. will it work?

So i have a 99 sedan ex. i really want a short shifter to eliminate those long friken throws. lol
But will it mater if i swap it later to b series linkages..??
so i may need to buy a different one later?
or it does not mater because the difference in the length?

Maybe check part numbers?

it will work on both, only difference is the end of the shift linkage that connects to the shifter is wider for b series linkage, you may need to add a washer. I recently put the B&m straight ss in my 93 si with b16a and it fit without issues or washers
