First I need a tranny, is there any combination of a 6 speed and 4wd like from a CRV. I'm going to build a turbo f23 with an h22 head and stick it in a bare bones crx frame and build it around the drivetrain and suspension. I would really like a 6 speed and 4wd in it. We'll with my options no matter if I have to do some fabrication to make the tranny work with the engine. In the end I'll build the tranny with my own gears and other parts.

K engines rotate in another direction than H/F so if you use 6speed CRV tranny with F23 you will get 6 reverse gears and 1 forward gear.
in my town one guy built awd torneo with H23A PDE, and he used b series 4wd tranny.

 

B series AWD 5 speed is about the only option, you can do a H2B kit, but good luck finding a trans.

 

If there's a market for 5 speed crv trany I could hook some people up, I come across them all the time at the wreck yard.
