Do b series axles fit at all in the hub of std spindles?
Like the title says, im wondering if the b series axles would fit at all into the std spindles i apparently have on my vehicle.
The only reason i ask is because shortly after i got the axles and switched them out at autozone, (verifying that they are in fact b series axles) i took one of the axles and slid the side that would normally go in the inside of the hub and slid it inside the hub from the outside on the passenger side of the vehicle, the car is currently lifted with no engine or transmission and no wheels.
The splines matched up and it fit in snugly. Only asking this question because i think the spindles might have already been switched out with dx or si spindles.
Thanks.

Im sorry i should have specified, im gonna go b20vtec not trying to use b series axles with a d16 or anything lol. So you talking about the splines on the knuckle? or on the transmission?
They will not fit STD/HF knuckles (maybe if you wanna do custom outer ends but what's the point?). If it fit then you don't have STD/HF knuckles. It's a difference in spline count. Either it works or it doesn't.
Standard (ED6) Honda Civic Hatchback knuckles will not work for your application. You need to get different knuckles. Si, EX, DA Integra, etc.
The STD Hatch axles use a different outer spline than what your B-series axles use. You need to do a knuckle swap. Basically, if your car came with a 4-speed transmission stock, it will need new knuckles.
I googled "b series std ef hatch knuckles"

First result, answered in the 2nd post I think

I think most B-series write ups mention the STD/HF knuckles are being different since those are popular chassis (lightest).
