Alright, so I've been doing some reading on the d16z6 exhaust but I can't seem to find anywhere what size the stock exhaust was. If I'm not mistaken it was a 2 inch correct? Or was it 2.25?

 

Well I just answered my own question. 1.75 inch right? If that were the case, would 2.25 be acceptable with nothing more than a cheap eBay 4-2-1 header and a custom cold air intake that I will be having fabricated?

 

It would be. I'd say go with whatever you can afford. I had a crush bent 2.25" exhaust that worked fine for years. Mandrel bends really help the sound and give better performance. But the pipe size seems fine to me.

 

Yeah mandrel bent is what I plan on using. Although unless you tell the local shop otherwise, I think they use crush bent. It's looking like I'm going with a high flow cat, 18 inch resonator, and a twin loop style mugen knock off muffler.
