Default 91 crx with stock ecu and d16y8 motor

So I bought a really cheap crx not too long ago. It is a d16y8 but the car is using the original ecu. It runs fine (doesn't get that great of gas mileage...maybe 24-27 or so) but the vtec isn't even hooked up at all.

My question here is:

-Can I get the correct wiring and essentially "plug-in" the vtec solenoid?

-If not, what will it take to get it running correctly.

The wiring really is kind of a mess...the swap was obviously not done by a professional...It runs pretty well nonetheless.

Thanks in advance for any helpful answers.

The closest ecu to run that without issues is a P28 but that will require converting your ecu to obd1. You'll also need an OBD1 distributor. You'll then need to wire up VTEC.
