D16z6 203k miles rebuild questions
So like some of you may have read already I've bought a delsol for $300. And have been on here asking tons of questions about engine swaps, bodywork, parts, blah blah. And I've decided to keep me z6 in there for cost effectiveness.
Now I'm getting into the rebuild aspect of it all, it being a 203k motor I'm not sure what I'm really going to need, or the cost of everything which I really want to work out.
So I'm just wondering, what are the keys things a no doubt should build new, the things that would be a good idea, and the things that would be nice.
I'd like to achieve 250hp this is including my turbo and I am going to be grabbing a new tranny because mines an auto.
So any suggestions would be great so I have a start point! Even if it's about my tranny or turbo! Thanks a lot guys.

From your broad and vague questions I can tell that you have done absolutely no research. You're pretty much asking everyone else to hand you a blueprint on how to complete your project.
Maybe if you asked specific questions you'd get targeted answers. Right now your responses will be all over the place.
And if you already have a "what do I do with my car?" threads you should have just continued it instead of starting a new one as if everyone was going to remember your particular situation.

That's the reason for my thread, sorry if starting a new one wasn't smart. But I've done some research. I know I'll need new pistons, rods probably, valves. At very least and then maybe a new cam, valve springs. But is that it!? Do I have my priorities straight, should I worry about what I buy and where I buy it. Should I look into more high end parts if I'm looking for some power around 250hp with my turbo. Will it get to costly and a swap would be a better option?!
I'm trying to open a discussion, as I though this was a discussion forum not a Q & A. That's why my question was so broad. And this was going to be my rebuild thread. Hence the name.

The reason for your thread is so you can be spoonfed? Not gonna happen.
You claim to have done research? List a specific parts list other than telling me pistons, rods, blah blah blah.
If I tell you everything to do, what to get, and where to get it, then this will MY build thread, not yours.

$2000 for a turbo setup is definitely feasible, if you do a LOT of learning and piece together a kit yourself. Head over to the Forced Induction section, and read the FAQ sticky there. As for the transmission swap, read the FAQ sticky in this section - it's covered there.
As you were told, everything you're asking has been covered to death over the years.
I don't want to be spoofed, I want a starting point, I know nothing about this stuff. I don't know piston sizes I don't know parts types anything. No nothing about dseries engines. Maybe I'll just pop over to dseries.org, maybe then understand where I'm coming from abit more and instead of attack people who are trying to get into something new that they have very little experience in. Or maybe it's just you "grumpiest" cause all of my other threads had broken out into a small discussion where I'd be told something, do some research, then ask some more or respond with ideas asking if they sounded good or not...etc. you know a discussion. I don't know much at all I'm not afraid to admit it. I'm not asking "tell me what to buy so my car can go fast" I'm asking "what are you're suggestions as a start point, what should I look into, what's important" broad question deserving broad answer so I can fill in the blanks.
I watched that thread. You asked the same tired old questions that are asked week after week. That was well and good because no one was giving you specifics since your questions weren't specific. Now that they are and you're told to read some FAQs you want no parts of it. I even have links in my signature that you probably never looked at to inform and educate you along with the FAQs.
You haven't done any research. You cannot even list what parts you'd need for the engine rebuild, hoping someone will hand you that information with no work on your part. A quick search and read of some build threads would have popped up cheap Vitara builds that you could have built off of and answered ALL your questions, just for starters.
Sorry, It's been done. But with a car you bought for $300 I suspect your priorities are ALL out of whack and the car is probably a rolling death trap.

250 is indeed the beyond the recommended HP output for a stock-internals engine.
what parts you should use depend entirely on how much funds you have for this project vehicle. Lots of people do vitara pistons, they have significantly lower compression. You dont necessarily need lower compression pistons, though. If you have more money for a better tune, better fuel, etc, you can make alot more power without the turbo spooled up and your car will feel better driving.
what I think you should do is get prices for different parts, and decide how much you want to spend on everything and then maybe we can help you decide where to splurge and where to be thrifty

p2p0 custom length rods + vitara pistons same price as eagles and up the compression a bit for easier power and faster spool new bearings stock cam is good for 300 hp just replace what is worn and dont forget about machine work
But thanks for you're insight you can stop wasting you're time here
As for the others, thanks I'll go look into the pistons and rods and stuffs, and will up date the thread more when is take this thing apart and see what really worn. And after I do my compression test.
