I got a 92 civic eg hatch with b16a2 what is the fuel pressure range usually run at? Mine is running 80-90. Isn't that too high?

How do you know it's running that high?

IIRC, base pressure is ~36psi and gets closer to 43psi on WOT.

How are you reading pressure?

That's roughly correct. OP, how are you measuring your fuel pressure? What fuel pump, rail, FPR, and injectors do you have?

There's obviously something here that you are failing to tell us. Read the rules sticky, then fill in the holes you've left.

Very sorry to everyone I'm very new to this forum thing I'm catching on slowly. I have an AEM fuel rail. Stock fuel pressure regulator. a liquid filled pressure guage. Stock injectors. I noticed the pressure it spiked even higher then 90 psi when driving to another location, popped the hood checked when I arrived and new location. Then when I shut car off I seen the fuel pressure guage slowly dropping back to 0. Idk if that helps but that's all I got since then. Again I apologize for all the holes I left. Still new

Stock fuel pump?

Check whether the return hose of the FPR is clogged. If fine, the FPR could be the problem.

Yes stock fuel pump also. And which is the return hose? Hose going to intake or the other end? And one way I got it to start I had couple of friends push me and jumped it in second gear, popped clutch. Idk if that helps with what's wrong but thought i throw it out there

Get the service manual for your car if you plan to do repairs.

The return hose is the fuel line attached to FPR. The other hose attached to the FPR is a vacuum line.

Alright thanks I should of gotten that in the first place. jumping it in second gear by being pushed and popping clutch to start does that help figure out anything? Starts all the time like that....

So the starter won't crank the engine using the key? If so, that's likely a separate issue.

That's a starting not a cranking problem. The two could be related as the high fuel pressure may flood the cylinders with fuel, causing a loss of compression.

Ok I'll do what you said and grab the manual then check fpr hoses and all that first before I come back and let you know the results. Thanks
