Does it matter if i buy a ecu that came from an auto for my 5spd?? I am going to put in the hondata so the hondata chip should modify it into a 5spd right??
also, how do i know if the ECU has been modified already by someone and how do i know i'm getting a working ECU??? please let me know as i am buying it off of someone tomorrow. thanks!

well it does matter but i heard they can jump stuff and make them manuel i hope your getting a kick *** deal cause if not. dont do it. its not worth the chance. to me that is

I was told that the auto ecu for the Accord has slightly different fuel mapping. And it is ok to swap the auto into a manual.
Open up the ECU and check for chips that look like they were soldered on.
The only sure way to know if it works is to plug it in and turn the car on
