Change your avatar, before someone else changes it for you....

As far as VTEC...... Try google.com if you cannot find the answer here.

ahhhh damn you changed your avatar alreadY????
oh well you all missed a good @ss.

anyways if thats what your thinking then its cuz the gsr mani has two diffrent runners. Just one is open and working before 5700rpm then both of them open after that. That is what you actually here on a gsr not the vtec. Vtec engages at 4400 rpm. just in case you were wondering.

people usually just refer to them as "the secondaries"

hopefully you understood my nonsence if not im sure someone with more expeirence here will/can explain it better
latz

YES!
the butterfly is the kick you feel at 5700 that people mistake for vtec.

i feel a kick at 5700 rpms
so that must be the butterflies
i dont know if the shop already hooked the wires up to do this when doing the swap
but if i feel the kick then they probally already have done this

under 5700
long runners = more torque, hopefully
over 5700
short runner = more top end.

the butterflies that cover the short runner open up and air go in from the short runner rather then long.
