Cooling fan not coming on when I shut the engine off
anymore. It almost always runs, anywhere from 5-15 minutes, and especially as hot as it was today. But it didn't come on any of the 3 times I drove it. 1991 Prelude 2.0si.
Can/should I continue to drive it? What can I look at? Checked the fuses - all okay. Looked at the relay but don't know if there is a way to test it.
Thanks.

Thanks, guys, but I don't know . . .
I'm in the south, and the fan comes on virtually every time the car is shut off -- since new. Today it's 90+, and for the first time it doesn't? It just doesn't seem right. But to answer snobordboy, the temp gauge isn't reading hot. It's right where it always is.

Are you concerned the fan isn't working at all, or only after the engine is turned off? Check for power at the plug going to the fan to find out of there is power going to it (if there is and the fan isn't on then the fan needs replacement, if not the proceed) Relays can be checked a few ways, easiest being to swap the relay in question with a known good relay, another way is to pop the plastic off the relay and manually close the circuit, other option being a relay jumper kit I doubt you have.

In that case try what I mentioned by running a 12v and ground to the fan directly to make sure the fan itself is good, then use a test light to verify power going to the fan. As for why it's not overheating i suppose that could depend on traffic and vehicle speed since your not going to really need the fan at cruising speeds like you would in stop and go traffic. I had a similar issue in my car and the temp stayed at or very close to my normal operating temp, and in my case I had a blown fan motor and blown fuse but in your case I would continue troubleshooting
