PA Volk Racing CE28 for sale!
Whats up H-T? Up for sale today is a set of wheels that i bought off of here about a year or so ago. Ended up selling the car that they were intended for, so i figured i might as well see if someone else on here would want these.
Bronze Volk Racing CE28N 15x7 4x100 +43 WHEELS ONLY!
I would rate the wheels at 9/10, except for one which is cracked and has been repaired(photos below). The previous owner had these repaired so i don't have any paperwork or documentation, but i feel like the price reflects that.
I'm looking to get $1000 firm and i am in no rush whatsoever to sell, so please no low ballers. I don't really want to ship them, but i can if the price is right. Thanks!
So, on to the pics:

These wheels are light as hell, you can lift them up with 1 finger literally. They have the Volk Racing stickers on the barrel also. From everything that I've looked into they seem legit.
did some more digging to make sure.
I looked at over 100 different pictures of volks.
the JLL or whatever that symbol is should be the only thing stamped by the valve stem.
On top of the lug nut holes that are useless dont look right. The stickers are also in the wrong spot.
VIA and the KG stamp is always between the 2 spokes over. Usually they have the volk racing sticker on the spoke and not together with the ce28 sticker but the stickers can be bought easily.
You could try to contact volk racing and send some pictures to make sure but i am pretty positive.

aznblueboy, that picture you posted is of a 16" CE28
These wheels are indeed real.
This is a picture of my 15x7 +43 4x100 set i owned back in 09

Here is another picture for reference.

CE28's 16" 4x100/114.3 CE28's will have the Rays ENG and Made in Japan embossed in between the third spoke CCW from the valve stem.16" and up 5x114.3 will have the wordings embossed on the fourth spoke CCW from the valve stem.
15" are differenet. Your wheels are legit OP, GLWS.

Kdes, if you are saying your wheels were 4x100 and 4x114 then they are 100% fake. Volk doesnt make ce28 with a dual bolt pattern.
heres some wheels i was going to buy.

after searching for the size from volk dealers. they never had this size.

Where are reading that I said my wheels were 4x100 & 4x114.3?
Take the time to read what I posted. Rays never made a dual bolt pattern CE28.
I'm telling you that only 16" CE28s in 4x100 or 4x114.3 came as you pictured.
The 15" wheels for CE28's are designed differently as far as the embossing is concerned.
Those wheels you posted are fake indeed. OP's wheels are embossed with "MADE IN JAPAN" unlike the ones you posted.

I guess they are real then. It's odd all the ones that are fake have different lug nut holes. not just empty ones like this. Then when you compare them to other ones. they all look the same.
found this thread and looks like you are right kdes.

sorry for messing up your thread. Just didn't want someone to get scammed because there are a lot of fake ce28s out there and i ran into a bunch.

Price is fantastic considering what these cost new and what they are (forged, light, and strong). Unfortunately from what I've seen the demand for 15" wheels has simply plummeted. I think most guys are moving to 16's, or maybe all of the cheap replicas out there are playing a part, I'm not sure. The availability of wider 8" and 9" wheels for us track guys could be playing a part too? About 3yrs ago I picked up some basically brand new gold 15x7 CE28N's w/ brand new Nitto Neogens for $900. The guy listed at $1400 and they sat for sale for months until I picked them up. However I attributed the low price to them being gold and no one wanting that color anymore (including me, I just couldn't pass up a deal on light strong track wheels). I had them painted mag blue but found a good deal on some 15x8 SL's before I even mounted the CE's. Now I have no need for the CE's but don't really want to sell 'em since I don't think I'll make my money back on them in this market
Best of luck with the sale, and I hope you get what you're asking because they're worth that much for sure.
