replacing an engine with an auto trans?
How much more difficult or easier is it than a manual transmission? I'm only familiar with manuals and I may be picking up an integra with an auto trans and a blown motor. I'd just replace the motor with another of the same, keep it simple and a daily driver.
Would it just be easiest to pull the motor and trans together and separate the motor and trans on the floor? Anything I should know about separating an auto from an engine and putting it back on?

I have an LS w/auto.
My motor was replaced and the transmission was reused.
The motor and tranny came out together and went back in together.
Only thing to watch out for is:
When separating the two, don't allow anything in the tranny to shift or split apart.
This occurs when you barely drop or tap the tranny, after it has been disconnected from the motor.
