GSR Swap in 96 Integra
I want to a gsr swap in a 96 integra but I cant find a guide , I know its a bolt on but I wanna do this swap right , new to this forum , but if anyone has a guide please post link
literally the reverse order for taking the engine out just pick up a VTEC wiring harness from rywire or chasebays. Helps if you stay in the same OBD also.
that's what im looking at , but my integra is 96 & it has a b18a1 & its automatic but it was manual before so it still has the manual cluster , but is it a still a pretty easy swap or no ? the reason it has a b18a1 is the b18b1 motor went
you can't switch it back to a auto once you've done the auto to manual just saying...someone must have thrown a manual cluster in. But regardless you're starting with an auto so auto to manual must be done first not too hard just time consuming.

It's easy in the sense that it is a direct swap (no custom mounts, etc.) but it is hard in that it involves physically moving and rewiring an engine. All the advice you are getting is good.
For emissions purposes it is safer to get an engine no older than your chassis
Make sure the engine has a harness correct to the engine and not the chassis if there is a conflict
Label everything you remove so you can reassemble easily
Have access to engine and chassis pinouts for both the engine and the chassis harnesses
Have an ECU that matches the engine type, but for the year of your chassis, or an appropriate conversion harness

Thanks Im thankful for all the advice its just if I go through with this whole engine swap , I don't know how to remove the original kind of want to make this a project, I just need a complete guide to remove the original & install the gsr swap
^^With a rywire VTEC sub harness it is...60 bucks not bad considering the time it saves. Removing the engine can seem hard but it all depends on how much stuff you have left in the bay. my bay was basically bare when I first removed my engine, (shaved/tucked). you'll need a engine hoist and a 2nd set of hand never hurts
