Obd2 - Obd1 conversion questions
Hello, I have just a couple quick questions on the conversion process from obd2 - obd1.
First off- my crv had the obd2 b20 and was running a chipped p28 in it but the motor got a rod knock from not being properly built to handle the boost from the previous owner. I have an obd1 b18b1 swap that is semi built so it will be able to actually handle more boost.
I am wanting to swap that in but I'm a little confused on everything I would need to do so, I have read that I just need to keep my obd2 alternator, dizzy, etc.
*Is that true? Or do I need to get obd1 parts?
*Also since I am already running an obd1 p28 with the wiring harness is there anything I need to do there?
*Is there any other specifics I need to change/anything else I should know about doing this?
In the past I have just stuck with conversions that have stayed obd2-obd1, obd1-obd1, etc. So going from obd2-obd1 will be a bit different for me.
Just trying to have this swap go smoothly and get my car back on the road soon! All comments are helpful
Thanks for your time!

You should have posted this in the CRV section rather than here as you are asking a model specific question rather than a question about engine management or tuning...
I am not sure what is confusing about all this. Everything is converted to match the chassis unless you want to start hacking all the wiring up. So you use everything that is different off of the B20 and put it on the LS engine. For instance the alternator, distributor, exhaust manifold (if RT4WD), and possibly the intake manifold or extend the wires depending on the location of your new engine's IAT sensor. Other than that pretty much everything else is the same connections and same locations.
