Default Blower fan not working 97 dx sedan

long story short, blower fan does not work on any speeds. Tested relay and fuse, and direct power to blower and all check out good. It's hot as hell and my windows don't work so I really need to fix this. Any thoughts?

It could be the blower motor resistor

There are 2 fuses (hood and dash) for the blower motor.

I had a similar problem on a 93 del sol and when I dropped the blower motor to replace it I noticed the hard wire connection to the blower motor was heavily corroded and deteriorated. I just replaced the blower anyway. The connection was so bad it drew so much current that the blower relay under the hood got so hot it shut off. After it cooled off the system would work again for a short time then overheat and cut out again. Probably was dangerous and could have started a fire. You can't see this wire connection until you drop the blower at least on a 93 sol.

My 97 civic only worked on two speeds, and barely at that. I put it off for a long time and one day just picked up a blower motor resistor from the wreckers while I was there for something else... It took less than 3 minutes to take it out.

I swapped it and problem solved. $4 and about 14 minutes total. Also, when I took my blower motor resister out (just take out your glovebox it's right there...) it was clearly broken. Had I bothered to inspect it before my life would have been much easier.

Since it's so easy to do why not check out the resister before you look at the motor?

Even with the resistor completely removed, the OP's blower should still run on high (4). The OP has no speeds, so there's more than a resistor issue.

Ah. Well, there's that.
