so i just replaced the 1.7 in my civic, transmission worked and shifted fine before the swap , just got everything together toped off all the fluids turned the key and now the drive light is flashing on my dash car backs up fine in reverse with no slip but slips in drive , any help would be greatly appreciated

 

Is the check engine light coming on also?
If so, try and get it to your local Autozone or O'reilly Auto parts store and have it diagnosed.

Transmission issues were common in the 2003 Honda Civics and referring back to older issues, this could be a transmission range switch short or simply a clutch needing service.
