can running rich after timing belt adjustment
Hi guys I put a b20v in my car which had a high idle. I adjusted the idle screw, fitv and throttle stop. It then idled properly and fitv was working perfectly. The afr at idle was 14s.
I checked the timing with a timing light and with the distributor fully retarded the engine was still advanced.
I did some research and came to the conclusion that the belt had jumped.
I got everything to tdc and retensioned the belt. Started the car and now it idles poorly with afrs in the 9s, black smoke the works.
Would the fitv and throttle stop adjustment make a car run rich?
I dont know where to start with the troubleshooting. Any ideas?
