Default 04 civic total electro loss

This is very strange. I have an 04 civic that totally goes dead electrically intermittent when low on gas. It seems like it is getting worse. It will happen then sit for a time and be fine. I have 200k on the car and has did it to us a few years ago. The fuel level must be quite low to have this problem. Or it seems like the common denominator. It happened just recently to me when I accidentally stalled in a McDonalds drive thru. Luckily no one was behind me so I pushed it out of the drive thru and into a parking spot and went in to get the food. When I got back out it started right up again. I lost all my preset radio stations just like I replaced the battery. The battery is only 4 months old and checks out fine. Any thought of what might be causing the problem
Thanks for your time.

Sounds like a loose battery cable. Start with inspecting the negative battery cable for looseness or a bad connection at both ends.
