07 Acura TL type S Tire pressure monitor system
a few months ago out of no where my TL just gave me an error code TPMS error. I was wondering where exactly is the TPMS unit located in the car? I tried the parts diagram and it doesn't really tell you where its located. Any ideas on how to fix it? Is it the unit itself or the ones on the tires? How are they programmed anyways, incase the tires need to be rotated.
they are stock type s rims. all of a sudden they just stop transmitting to my dash, and an error message pops up tpms error. I checked the pressure using the tpms and all of the tires doesn't seem to be transmitting, all at 0. but I heard that if one is bad, all of them don't work.
thanks for the input, but from that link. basically what most of them did was try to erase the code. and I would tried most of what they said, remove battery cable, check tpms fuse, even ran an obd2 scanner, don't seem to work. all that's left is to run a (Hds) Honda diagnostic system, which I don't have and would probably cost me $200, just so they can plug it up and erase the code.

The odds of it being the receiver are almost none. The wheel units go out all the time. I've had my RR unit out for a while. It's annoying getting the error on start up.
