I thought at first it had been a blown shock or something was loose, but I have no idea where it is coming from. All I know is that it's in the rear of my EK hatch. Any thoughts? It's this chirping sound, so you may need to crank up the volume. It's more apparent around 19 seconds, sorry I couldn't get better audio

Please let me know if you have any suggestions! The sound comes in when I come into rough roads.

 

Have you actually gotten under the car of pulled off the wheels to check anything?

 

Yeah, things appear to be fine, nothing's broken. The sound kicks in only when I hit some rough roads or a pothole, that's about all I know. So it's something I probably can't gauge visually

 

Horrible audio. Kinda sounds like the hatch when my wife rides with the rear cargo cover off.

 

That's funny, my 99 EK makes the same sound. I never really paid attention to it though. I thought it was the cheap *** lower control arms that I bought that were probably chirping/squeaking. I'm very curious to what this noise is.

 

That's what a friend of mine suspects too...I just drown it out with loud music these days haha. But I can't avoid it forever!

 

Spray silicone on your bushings and spring seats and see if the noise continues.
