Clutch Master/Slave Cylinder Problems?? Need advice.
I have a 1995 Honda Civic LX Sedan with a d16z6 engine and 98 dx tranny, I recently had the clutch replaced including throwout and pilot bearing new pressure plate and re surfaced fly wheel.
Before I got the work done the car would drive fine at high rpms (above 5k)
Now if i go above 5k it gets hard to shift, I actually had it completely lock and I had to sit and wait on the side of the road for a while, I started the car up and it started shifting fine again.
Other symptoms i'm having are
I get a "biting" type feeling on the shifter when at a stop and shifting into 1st
Clutch engages right off the floor
I've actually had the clutch pedal stick to the floor on it's own.
If I go above 5-6k I can't shift unless I slow down to around 2-3k
I've looked at my slave cylinder to see if its moving when the clutch pedal is released and it is, but there is a boot type thing on it that covers a big whole in the tranny where the slave connects..
That boot has some oil on it, and it is ripped open, I read that sometimes air getting in through the boot can cause problems
Any advice? I don't know a lot about cars, but it's getting worse.
Should I replace that boot? Could crap have gotten in my tranny from that whole in the boot? Is my tranny messed up or is my master and slave cylinder messed up?
I've done some searching but haven't found an answer if you know of another thread that has an answer just leave me a link

try bleeding the slave cylinder. before i had a mityvac, id pump the pedal by hand, put a 2x4 or jack handle or whatever on the seat and use it to hold the pedal down, go out, crack the bleeder, shut it, repeat.
That boot is a dust boot. It doesn't matter if air gets in it - even if the boot is brand new, it still isn't an airtight system. Air gets in regardless. Bleed your clutch and go from there.

If there's fluid at the boot, you probably have a leak. Check your fluid level in the master cylinder cup. I'm sure its empty.
Find and fix the leak. Bleed the clutch.

Thanks for the advice, I checked the fluid levels, it's all good I don't think the master or slave is leaking, I think it was just oil from my valve cover gasket (It was leaking oil but was just replaced yesterday).
All fluids are full I tried to check the transmission fluid but the 17mm bolt made to check the transmission fluid will not budge..
When the clutch was replaced the mechaninc bleed all my lines and put in fresh Honda MTF, that was about 2 months ago.
I have no clue where the master cylinder is, I'm guessing somewhere on the driver side since it connects to the clutch pedal and then sends the fluid to the slave cylinder which controls the pilot bearing in the clutch << is that right?
I'm gonna bleed the slave and see if that helps.

To bleed the slave, you have to find the master. That sounds like something from a karate movie.
It's on the driver side firewall. It's a little buried, but the fluid cup is very visible. The hose from the fluid reservoir leads to the master cylinder.
When you step on the pedal, the fluid goes from the master cylinder piston, thru the lines, into the slave cylinder. That's the end of the line for the fluid.
The slave cylinder piston pushes on the clutch fork. The fork pushes on the throw out bearing. That pushes on the clutch fingers. With the clutch fingers pressed, the disk is freed.

Got it fixed, thanks for everyone's advice! Shop quoted me $170 to replace my master and slave cylinder. that seems un reasonable for $38 worth of parts, so I went at my self replaced the master, bleed all the lines and it's shifting great.
I'm not sure if this is normal, but when I un hooked the master from the firewall just the bolts behind the clutch pedal the whole reservoir of brake fluid ran out of it.
There was build up in the line to the slave got that out and bleed it good, now it drives better than when I first bought it, it's amazing how such a small cheap part can make such a big difference..

Like other have said, make sure to bleed the system. But you also mentioned that the clutch engages right when the pedal leaves the floor? I would also look into adjusting your clutch pedal, here is the diagram for that:
