Tranny shifted smooth as butter...out of nowhere I cant find 1st and 2nd??!
Okay fellas so here is the rundown leading up to this situation.
Sunday afternoon taking the lady out for dinner and a movie, cruising down the highway in 5th and riding slow, my exit is coming up so I proceed to exit amd throw it in Neutral.
The light was red and once it turned green I pressed the clutch, but what is this? Cant seem to find 1st, 2nd or even 3rd! I finally found 4th and toughed it out until the nearby gas station.
Lifted the car up and checked the shift linkage which is still in one piece and no visual abnornalities.Decide to retighten just for peace of mind, drop her down and try it again but still no 1st or 2nd...after some wiggling I found 3rd.
For sone odd reason it feels as if my whole shifting assembly has shifted a to the left and where 1st gear would usually is the current spot of 4rd (the same with 4th being where 2nd should be)
Ive done my research but cant seem to fibd anything.
Tranny has fluids, clutch is properly engaging/dissengaging, and this transmission has NEVER given me any issues or weird noises.Never grinded a gear. (A stock gsr motor was swapped after previous one dropped a couple of valves, motor currently sits just shy of 300 miles.Tranny at about 122k)
Thnks for any help or for anyone sharing knowledge, car was posted for sale not long before this issue came up so need to figure this out as quickly as possible.
It is a 2000 Acura Integra, 5spd.

OP, take the trans off, and check the shift lever. I had a y7 and the ball that the shift lever rests on actually broke through the lever. I couldnt find any gear at all!. So if you check and its not that, i suggest you open the trans up and check everything. Look for broken synchro springs.
Also check the gear selector( the thing that moves the forks up and down). Or just get another trans. Can be had for 300-400 bucks.
