94 civic coupe w/B18 engine wont start engine
Hi guys, im brand new to this site and am glad to have found it! I have a 94 civic coupe with a b18 engine and b16 head ? i believe. i know its a b18 though.. anyway, it won't start. when turning the key:
-i do not hear the fuel pump prime
- i've tried resoldering the main relay
-i've verified that the plugs are getting spark (though two of the holes had oil [dried it up])
-i checked all fuses under the driver's side dash
-i can squeeze my fuel line between fuel filter and fuel rail, feels empty
-added gas to the car just in case.
-CEL turns on when i begin turning the key, but in ON position CEL is OFF.
- I HAVE NOT REPLACED FUEL FILTER (not sure its bad )
the car has previously sat for near 4-6 months without being started, it sat with very little gas in the tank (i did add a few gallons of new gas & fuel injector clearner) and the gas could be ?? 6-8months old?? pretty sure it was 87 also. I hope this is enough information to get start with, ill be actively following this to reply.

ill be test the fuel pump for power next by jumping pins on main relay, ill check the injectors as well.
forgot to add that i look the thermostat ground and both wires are grounded there and do not seem to be loose at all, theres some corrosion nearby, but the wires and bolt are free of the corrosion

alright i jumped 1-7 & 5-7 and i could not hear the fuel pump running. i tried squeezing the fuel line between filter & rail and it seems theres pressure in the line now. not sure what to try next. maybe pull fuel pump and test the pump itself or make sure elec. is getting to the pump?
problem solved! pretty sure it was my main relay, which i resoldered. i originally pulled my fuel pump BEFORE resoldering the relay. after reinstalling the relay i couldnt heaer my pump prime. well i pulled the pump again and the power wire had come off its contact, reattached and it started right up!!! thanks for your troubleshooting help ron!
