Default 94-D4 light flashing

The D4 shift position on instrument panel is flashing no matter what gear it's in. Chilton s ays nothingand owners manual says You might have trans. problem, take it to certified Honda repair shop. I had 3 bad transmissions and no flashing, finally get good one and there it is. I just want it OFF.

first reset trans ecu by pulling ECU fuse from under the hood for 20 sec
if issue returns jump the code reader under the passenger side glove box and record codes
google codes or ask on here and troubleshoot from there

im assuming u have clean fluid since this is a new trans

WRONG

Steve kische if your D4 light is flashing there is a code stored in the TCU. DO NOT CLEAR THE LIGHT UNTIL YOU HAVE THE CODE. Look under the center of the glove box door, pull down the two wire blue connector. Jumper it. Turn the ignition to II(ON), record the code from the D4 light and post it here.

If your D4 light is flashing twice(blink-blink*pause*) and repeats, that is for the lockup solenoids. Check that the grey connectors are properly seated, verify they are clean, tight and free form corrosion. If you have had multiple transmissions installed the connectors may have not been properly seated, or the wires may have been pulled out. Pull the connectors apart and look for damage.

As long as you have the factory radio code, just pull the memory fuse or the negative battery cable to clear the code.

Can't recall what I was drinking, was staring at four lights for a while, and was not allowed to sleep. Some ******** with a tongue glued to his forehead kept telling me there were five. Torture is a bitch.

But I'll take a few bottles of Corona Familiar if you insist.
